Mantak Chia

For some strange reason I have been having dreams and meditational impulses to read some Mantak Chia. This is similar to what happens when I get an impulse during meditation or period of silence to do a reading with a specific deck or tool.

Here is an interesting interview with Chia where he absolutely declairs Taoist practices to be magic.

Chia's stuff tends to be very accessable to westerners. I personally like it. His student Michael Winn also has some interesting stuff of his own.

He has a lot of critics and definitely has done a lot to build the brand of his practice. At the very least his books are interesting.

Interesting. I've never heard of Mantak Chia but maybe Taoist alchemy would be a worthy case of study, after all, Tao te Ching is one of my favorite books.

I've was initiated by Master Chia years ago and have found his practices indispensable in everything from ritual work and healing to psychic protection and energy work.

Since Chia has a large network of teachers who will teach his techniques, I recommend locating one near you and get at least the levels up to the Microcosmic orbit, but Fusion of the Five elements is excellent as well.

It's helpful to learn from a an actual person, as his written works make the practices seem more complicated then they actually are. IMO they're much easier learned from a weekend with one of his students, and quite reasonable.

Thanks Vaj,

That is exactly what I am going to do, I have been going over the material for a few days now and think it makes an interesting compliment to the Vajrayana internal energy work.
