Breakfast!

One of the parts of Sorcerers Secrets that I thought was way too lite was the health section. I meant this to be a whole chapter of its own, but pulled back because I was running out of space, and running out of time for research. Out of everything in the book, that would be the section that would need to rely on research for more than past experience.

I am however doing that research this year and am experimenting with a number of exercises, devices (my Q-link shipped this morning!), and diets.

This article is music to my eggs and bacon loving ears...

That picture there boyo is of a typical Irish breakfast. The only thing missing from that plate is the slices of black and white pudding.
If you ever visit here, I'll be sure to make you a proper Irish fry. :)

(unfortunately it also goes by the nickname "Heart Attack on a Plate"..I hope the scientists are right...wouldn't that be a great way to start a diet? yum )

I visited for a few weeks back in 1993. Backpacked from Dublin to Kilkenny than up to Dragheda and back down to Ros Laire than on to France.

It is definitely high on my list of places to visit again.

If you know of any shops or places that regularly host teachers of magic, please let me know. Having the excuse of going over for lectures would get me over there a lot faster :-)

I will take you up on that fish fry for sure!

you can eat eggs and bacon on the atkins diet which promotes and programs the body for the burning of fat as long as the dictates and parameters of the diet are conscientiously followed.

my personal findings after over a year on this diet were that if you restricted carbohydrates, then your body would burn fat instead of storing it. and if you eat a large percentage of fat and protein you are satisfied with much smaller meals--thus the calories are self-regulating.

of course you must exercise (although not excessively) to provide the 'flame' to burn the fat. and unfortunately, many healthy foods such as fruit and corn and potatoes are high in carbohydrate and are high-glycemic, so some supplements must be used while on the diet.

Yum! I used to love a big plate of hash browns, at least two eggs over easy, toast, butter and jelly.

These days I have ngondro and coffee for breakfast. If I ate a big breakfast like that, it would come right back up. Even if I had it *after* the prostrations.
