Writing books is a bit like eating at White Castle or taking LSD.
You get an itch to do it. You do it. You swear by the end of it that you will never do that again. Than a few months to a year later you get an itch...
Organizing campaigns are exactly the same way. I'm getting ready to start a new one now, and I'm so excited about it... but I know by the end I'll be cursing the day I was born.
