Well, the purple cover did me well so far. Considering the type of book it is I far exceeded expectations of sales and am still making it up to the 15000 popularity or so of all books on amazon.
I'm a big believer that quality will out, so I think your book would be doing well no matter how they dressed it. Still, that was one ugly cover. Now, with the combination of good writing, great material, and a real purdy pitcher on the front, I'm sure sales will spike even more.

Whats with the fire still in the same spot without the seal of sorcery? It otherwise looks cool, but I don't get the floating fire.
Don't get me wrong. Much cooler than the purple cover.
It just seems like they reused the psd files for the hand/seal of sorcery combo for the new book and just changed the layer with the sigil.
I do see some cool minor details that rock, but the detached fire just bugs me.
I'm letting that one go. It also looks kooky to me, but its 100x better than the way the cover was.
When you're selling it at INOMINANDUM.COM you should include the tag line "NOW WITH NON SUCKY COVER".
