Gidget Goes Old Gods!

Ah, the Dunwich Horror.

Not the story. The movie. I saw this movie when I was 12 and I just saw it again last night. Clearly it deeply effected my little 12 year old psyche. You know that things are not gonna go well when the movie opens with Gidget holding the Necronomicon.

Lots of fun to re-watch it now that I know the shite I know.

Terrible movie of course, but any movie where a semi nude Sandra Dee orgasmically gyrates on a stone altar with the Necronomicon between her legs isnt all bad.

More rituals should be like that.

If you are thinking to yourself that I probably only made this post so that I could post a picture and movie of Dean Stockwell invoking Yog Sothoth into Gidget you are entirely correct.

You can thank me later.

I have got to see that again! It's good to see such an overt appreciation for books...hehehe

That is so hot. Gives me great ideas for the next in my series of dramatic rituals.

And yet another shining example of what is missing in the OTO.

"I came to Casablanca for the waters."

"The waters? We're in a desert."

"I was misinformed."

I had read the short story of Dunwich Horror in like 5th grade and was so disappointed in the movie when I saw it years later in college.. truly truly awful... but I dint realize that was a young Dean Stockwell.. like dang he was hot! cept for the cheesy Crowley hands-on-your-ears pose ripoff.. what terribly tragic directing that was...

Man, I love you more as time goes on. There's a B-movie I haven't seen in forever.

I had almost given up on an accurate movie translation of Lovecraft.

They showed that on TMC on Halloween. It was some of the best crappy cinema EVER. A perfect example of a movie so god awful that it becomes wonderful.
